AJ => I'm still drooling over this recent score (so fricken cool) ... totally jealous

It's usually Lions & Bulls (it's awesome to see a cute lil' guy with antlers)

I've never seen anything like it (I want it)

Holy moly those look like some hefty (and beautiful) pieces. I might be pm-ing you with some questions on a few specific ones later on.

Hmm, lots of nice coins. It'seems hard to pick just one, so here are two...

This was my first Syracuse coin - worn, battered and out-of-focus, Arethusa is quite a stunner in-hand.

I'm kicking myself for not posting this one earlier. Good art for the time it was minted, an iconic coin, and good for it's type. A triple threat.

And this thread needs more Indo-Greek love, as well as more square coins.

And last but not least, one of the finest Sassanian portraits I've ever seen...and I don't just say that because I own it. Kavadh I was one handsome dude.

Nothing like a big hunk o' silver in the hand, but I've got some serious loving for the tiny silver, too. I ADORE the facing lion scalp of this hemiobol. It's .48 grams, and oh-so-small. How the heck did they create such artistry on such a little piece of metal?

Do you by any chance have a good link to where some staters could be found within my general budget?

I've not yet had the chance to take my own photo yet. This recent addition from @John Anthony gets my vote as far as current that I own. I fought hard for this one :)

This is an aesthetically pleasing coin that is available in your budget range. I think it is very cool that it is from the 13th century as well.

Thanks. Another one that had been on the want list for months. Funny how JA just happens onto coins that I've searched auction houses for with little luck.
