My very first cud...(tear in my eye)

I'm only showing the obverse because the reverse is...well...sending out for restoration tomorrow. This cud actually appears to be listed as an LC-ND-57 or a CU-1c-ND-02 (Cu)19xx, depending on the cud list you use.

What's wrong with the reverse? Distortions such as weak, stretched or missing letters or a depression opposite a large cud are normal and indicators that the cud is authentic.

 

Let's see the other side. Where'd you find it?

 

If we don't see the reverse we can only assume that there is putty on the obverse.

 

No putty, but needs a' cleanin'. Lots of die cracks on the reverse, especially in STATES.

 

Found it in a bag of change my sister had in her closet for about 8 years.
