Hi everyone! Would like to pick your brain. The mint mark looks like some sort of doubling. Would this be a doubled die? Did I get lucky or is this machine doubling? IMG_2932.JPG IMG_2933.JPG

It would help if you posted an image of the whole coin. I'm leaning toward die deterioration but I need to see a better image.

Not sure if this is better or not, Chris. So when you say you're leaning towards die deterioration, what are you looking for in the picture of the whole coin that gives you clues to that? IMG_2934.JPG

It was just a thought because your blurry enlargements gave me that impression. That is what can happen when someone overdoes it with enlargements. (We have another person here who likes to try this, and his photos are generally useless.)

In any case, I don't see any evidence on the rest of the coin of die deterioration, but I don't think you have a doubled die, either.

Thanks! I know that the scope I use causes images to look doubled, however I spun this one around and around and it looked the same. Thanks, as always for the help!
