1988 penny

Here are some pics. Opinions? The coin is slightly concave and convex on both sides like it was scrunched .

Welcome to CT. All I can say about your coin is; my eyes aren't what they used to be.

 

PURE DAMAGE

 

Here are some from the microscope. Note the rim obscuring the letters.

 

Sorry for the duplicates. The coin is nickel in color. About the same size as a penny with wider rim. It appears to have been scrunched, I think in the die. Note the rim obscuring letters in several places and on both sides.

 

Been in the washer at the mint, for years and years ..

 

It's suffering from PMD or Post Mint Damage, man made or accidently.

 

Not an error. Damaged after it left the mint.
