    What a beauty for the Otho collectors

    9 March - 17 April 69 A.D..Rome mint, 3.61g (19.7mm, 12h). IMP OTHO CAESAR AVG TR P, bare head right / PONT MAX, Ceres standing left, grain-ears in right, cornucopia in left;

    Pedigree: from the Jyrki Muona collection
    Grade: rare; attractive portrait, light toning on luster, good strike with fresh dies but very highest points a little weak. Superb EF

    I do not collect silver, so I go a bronze Otho. Of course none where made in Rome, so I got the nicest Provincial I could find. Cost less than $ 11.000 but was not too cheap, either ;-p

    Jyrki has a beauty there. I would love to own it, but not willing to pay the price.

    Looks like Otho borrowed Julia Domna's curling iron.
