After a long at work, I came home to a nice surprise, 2 more Falling horseman coins. The first is a nice and heavy (by a couple grams) sucker. Thanks to Mat for pointing it out. I haven't weighed all my FH but I'm sure it's easily my heaviest one. The obv is a little rough but the silvering on it makes it look worse in photo but the reverse showed up good. The reverse has a nice, high relief to it as well, at least when it comes to FH. Constantius II. Æ-2 (25mm, 7.47g Very heavy). I have about 50 of these ranging from EF to Poor that I purchased in unidentified lots. It's the number one overall coin type that I have. One can only imagine how many of these were struck, probably in the millions. Curious as to how much one could buy with one of these babies. Maybe a loaf of bread, maybe a half modius of lentils, who knows? Also "the return of happy times" didn't last long.
Thanks all! Nice. I tried making some similar pics, only one came out I liked. Rome on Rome My smallest official on my largest (Antioch 15mm on Rome 26/27mm) Antioch Barbarous
