Quarter Bags From The Bank?

Just asked the Branch Manager from one of my banks if she had any halves in her coin machine she could sell me. Said no, but she just got in 4 bags worth of quarters recently and asked if I wanted to buy them. They are $1000/bag. Her commercial customer that dumped them in the machine runs a coin operated car wash business. I haven't had any luck finding silver in quarter rolls or even partially filled bags before. But, I'm thinking the average Joe that goes to the car wash may not be into coin collecting, so what the heck? I think I will buy one bag and edge check them and maybe sort out the Territories & Parks for my albums since I lack some of those. Anybody have luck finding silver from quarter bags?

I did buy a $2000 bag a few years ago and churned out one 1964-D. Like you I have no luck with quarters. I stick to halves, dimes and nickels.

In the past 6-months I bought 3 qtr bags $1000/ea on separate occasions. Only found 1-ONE silver qtr (which was in the first bag). Just never know when a collection dump just might get DUMPED. I might try again, who knows.

Has absolutely no luck with quarters until last couple months. Managed to find 4 between CWR and BWR. It's a lot of looking but summer is coming, and kids may be helping us soon!

    Sounds like a fun opportunity.
Definite album hole fillers and silver possibilities. Go for it.
