I am looking for a Franc CFA coin. It is one of the final ones i need for my worldwide-collection. It is from Chad (africa) and Cote de Ivoire (Ivory Coast-Africa) Does anyone have any information on it, such as what it looks like, value, where to get it? thanks

I bought four off of ebay. 1984, Togo, Mint Condition, only $1 USD. I fgured it was worth it since i have been trying to get these forever.

The Franc C.F.A. was tied to the French Franc at a rate of 50 (later 100) Francs C.F.A. to 1 French Franc. Now it is tied to the Euro at a rate I am uncertain of.There are actually 2 C.F.A. Francs - the West African C.F.A. & the Central African (formerly Equatorial) C.F.A. They are both worth the same. The 'C.F.A.' is the abbreviation for 'Communaute Financaire Africaine' or 'African Financial Community'.
