    Alas, no 14D..

    Sigh.

    Nice 1940-era cents, though.

    I bought a 1909-S VBD off a buddy back in the '80s for a couple of hundred bucks and sold it a few yrs. later for almost triple what I paid. Boy, I thought I was a real wheeler-dealer, but that's one of THE coins I wish I would of hung onto (hindsight is usually 20/20).

    Yeah, I started collecting back in the '70s when I was in high school. Nowadays, I'm more of a stacker but still enjoy going thru bags of cents with my grandson.

    I couldn't help but notice the 1923 S spot has a normal 23 in it?

    Does anyone think I should get the 1933 d graded? Would that even be worth it? The back is pretty nice too I'll post pics of it in a minute

    Not worth the grading fees. It would have to be much better grade than it is to be worth it.

    Enjoy collecting as you have originally done with the blue Whitman folders. Don't get too suckered into drinking the Kool Aide of submitting stuff. If you want something graded, buy it graded.

    I almost never see 's' mint cents, much less wheats. But tonight while searching rolls of wheats I found a bunch s mints. Over the last couple of months I found two cents (not wheats, 1970 something) that may have that upside down S mint mark error. I set those aside to photograph later. I think later may be tomorrow.

    @longarm: Cool!

    You should try, takin the photo under the same lighting, from your reverse photo, it looks like it is in the XF range.
