post #1 error coin ?

    this is a 1982p quarter, the reed, i believe it is called or edge seems to not be fully formed, any feed back on this error type.

    It looks like PMD (post-mint damage) to me, from some kind of machine.

    This is called a Non Mint Error

    PMD - Post Mint Damage - Look like the copper was worn away a bit due to an acidic substance :yack:

    Yes, this coin was soaked in acid which ate the softer copper core faster than the copper-nickel faces
