I could sure use some help with these I inherited from my grandfather Robert L Ryan and his friend John Pittman. There seems to be all error coins. Lots of undiscovered that should probably go on the wexler's die varieties website
I am not seeing it either, those pics of pics are hard to read, nice collection you inherited. I hope you enjoy it as much as he did.
Interesting Are they labeled? Is there a log book with a description of each coin? Can you show something that can be seen without enlarging the picture?
Wow! Nice France coin in the bottom left? Ive got a 1960 one that should grade MS66 once I submit it, worth around $645. -SC
On what planet? Or did you mean $645 in Zimbabwe dollars? Don't get me wrong; those are pretty coins, but super common. PS- ROFL- I should also ask NGC what planet they are on, with the way the grades are priced on that page. That's even more hilarious than $645 for an MS66 1960 French 5-franc. Their database sure is glitchy!
Lol! I know in MS63 NGC says its worth $0.50 but 63-66 can change prices drastically. I saw it sell on an auctions for at a site for like 700 pounds which I think it said approximately $650. Here at this site on sold for $300 https://www.ma-shops.com/saive/item.php5?id=13095&lang=en -SC
Compare in particular the XF40 and MS63 columns in the NGC page I linked to above. They value the coin more in XF than BU! I've seen a lot of mistakes like that. But I've steered the topic away from where it should be.
