haaa scored a nice 1972 philly dollar coin at McDonald's today. Love these coins no matter what condition the eagle on the back is richous

If it was a type II....then it would be most righteous.

 

How do you tell if it's type one or two or can you already tell it's not?

 

It's a type III, you can tell by the islands on the Earth. The type II has incuse islands, from a reverse proof die that found it's way to Philadelphia. The website http://www.ikegroup.info is a good place for Ike dollar info.

 

I have been saving them so now I have about close to 80 Ikes. Eventually they will go to my grandchildren, They will probably say why didn't he just give us cash.

 

I've gotten rolls from my bank. I give her lottery tickets and cash for each roll.

 

I have about 300 or so...used to pick them up at the bank on payday.

 

Just sold that coin for 6 bucks worth of pennies
