1972 dollar coin

    IMG_0379.JPG IMG_0380.JPG haaa scored a nice 1972 philly dollar coin at McDonald's today. Love these coins no matter what condition:) the eagle on the back is richous

    How do you tell if it's type one or two or can you already tell it's not?

    It's a type III, you can tell by the islands on the Earth. The type II has incuse islands, from a reverse proof die that found it's way to Philadelphia. The website http://www.ikegroup.info is a good place for Ike dollar info.

    I have been saving them so now I have about close to 80 Ikes. Eventually they will go to my grandchildren, They will probably say why didn't he just give us cash.
