Yeah i know I don't have any ms coins but I still got a lot of key dates and semi key dates. Been collecting since I was 12. More will be posted in comments if it lets me.
Nice, reminds me of my first cents collection. I agree with Frank, my neck hurts. I've got some of the earlier dates you need and would be willing to give them to you, just PM me.
Nice collection. That 33D is very nice. I love wheat cent collections, they're all unique due to the different ways copper can age, and one could spend a lifetime adding and upgrading coins.
Nice start Tyler, are these from roll hunting? Everyones neck should hurt, It would be great if you could rotate the photos so they are easily seen in the future
Haha sorry bout that. It took long enough to take every picture and upload it to here picture by picture, doing that by phone is an it time consuming lol took me 30 minutes to post this sorry bout your neck but I don't give out neck rubs unless you give me a pretty penny lol. It's a variation of coin roll hunting, work, and buying lots at auctions with wheat pennies up in New Hampshire. The 33 d I got from work about three months ago give or take. It's my favorite coin I got on my wheat collection got that one passing from hand to hand. I'm sure that's what put that little scratch on it.
Your collection inspires this beginner collector. I don't have cent holder pages like those. I am setting my coins up in flips and then into slots in binder pages made of clear (I guess it's vinyl) that can hold about 20 flips. That way I am thinking I can shift them around and make sure error coins of various mints are near other cents of the same year. I only have three Indian heads but have not found any from the 1800s...yet. I hope that made sense as I am still just learning to speak Nusmismatish.
You make plenty sense. Be glad that you don't have this kind of cent holder. They are rather annoying and can damage your coin in so many ways if your not careful. Those Indian heads I found in a lot of coins at an auction, never got to bring it out of a roll like I wanted haha but thanks for looking and admiring happy hunting
I'd be willing to bet that nearly all collectors prior to the statehood quarter program started just like this. A joy to see.
I'm no longer in New Hampshire but I would be in holderness ashland and Plymouth area if I were in New Hampshire
Looks like a good start! We have a thread for Lincolns: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/post-your-lincolns.192928/page-233#post-2713557
