I can make out ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ on the reverse (like the Seleukid coin @Jwt708 showed in one of your ID help threads yesterday) so do a search in CNG's archives for "Antiochos, lyre, AE" and you'll probably find a match.

    ...

You are working on a lot of coin IDs-- looks like for many of them you've basically found them. Are these coins you've cleaned or from a large group lot or what? Are they your first ancients? Inquiring minds... :)

Yes I purchased over 100 mixed coins..No picking..buy it all deal..So I'm going thru each coin, keeping the ones I like, and sell the rest I don't wish to keep..

Are you finding many keepers? The ones we're helping you ID, for instance-- are those going on eBay?

Do you have many more yet to be ID'd? Seems like we've seen a lot of them in the last few days. Might want to pace your posts here a bit.

I have over 80 I'm keeping as of now..I wish to buy more as I learn more about them..This is just a first experience to me, in 2 months..I hope to buy more valuable ones in the near future, but I'd like to learn the market little more..

Oh boy... I think you're going to be an ancient coin addict. Sounds like you've been bitten hard.

Not sure if condolences or congratulations are in order :D

Watch this video to see just how remarkably sophisticated an instrument the Greek kithara was...

I was hoping to hear some Smoke on the Water maybe worked in a little...but really though very cool video! I like these videos where ancient instruments are reconstructed. Like holding the coins of the ancients, it allows us another glimpse into their world.

I just checked. We have replica ancient pottery from Greece we bought years ago when visiting Athens. On one of the vases is a depiction of someone playing a Kithara. It is neat to hear how these ancient instruments sounded. Thanks @John Anthony
