Just wondering if this is a doubled die. I cant seem to find anything on it, the doubling is along the back and down to the tail and in the leg as well. I wondered because of all the extra space between the tail and the leg. I've compared it to all my others and everything on this one seems thicker.
I don't usually follow all of the various websites that document doubled dies. Can you provide a link for the DDR-001? Thanks! Chris

Yeah I'll post the ones from brians variety. Its weird because its listed under the 2005 P ddr 059 but mine is a 2005 D... https://www2.briansvarietycoins.com/listings/cat/7
Here's a link for pictures of the DDR's on Variety Vista. The OP coin looks different from these. http://varietyvista.com/04c JN DD Vol 3 WJ/DDRs 2005D OIV nickel (1-2).htm
It looks like its doubled in some way to me I'm just having issues finding the variety. Possibly new? Cause it does show doubling just like mine on the Philadelphia mints.
Yes, from the picture it does look like doubling, just not what is listed. It's possible it is a new variety. You should send it off to get it viewed by someone, if you want to be sure. Good luck!
The 2005-P is a satin finish coin from a Mint Set. Your coin looks like a business strike. There is a big difference! Chris
From your image, I can't tell. To be perfectly honest, I think they are carrying these doubled dies from single-squeeze hubbing way too far. Eighty-eight doubled dies for a single year from one mint? It's becoming a joke. Chris
