Yet you find time to post on these forums hyping the future potential of these made-for-collector issues?

Tell us, just how many of these coins have you placed in your own retirement savings?

I question anyone who says "always" when touting the future value of anything -- particularly if they have a direct interest in the future value of said issue. That hardly makes for unbaised opinions...Mike

p.s. how are those first-spouse coins faring?

"three silver coins set: cost $100.00 my guess is $250.00 or 150% profit"

I have already sold 3 of these A10 sets for over $500, these have come down a bit, but they will go up again....

wow...lol...I thought I was the worst speller on the net? Just goes to show ya! Anyway this sure is a long lasting thread no doubt, with some serious verbage from all you! Let me ask as a "noob" to the hobby, these 2006 20th anv. sets. Now they were limited to 250,000 sets right? so regardless of grading the reverse proof will always be identifiable as a 20th anv. coin correct? So that means regardless there's 250,000 of these. Now it seems to me the coin to have is a slabbed reg. proof ase designated as 20th anv. because even though there were 250,000 of them as well unless you sent your set in unopened the grading services would only designate the rev. proof as 20th anv. right? so that means there's far less reg.proof 20th anvs. coins to be had right? so wouldnt that make it more sought after...in the future anyway?

my current prediction for gold coins.

2006 w one ounce american eagle reverse proof cost $2,610.00. current price - a little over 100% premium. mintage 10,000.

2006 w half ounce american eagle uncirculated cost $375.00 and 2006 w 1/4 oz am eagle unc cost $190.00. both current price - a little over 50% premium. mintages - less than 20,000.

2007 spouse 1/2 oz gold coin - first four spouses. cost for proof $429.95, unc $410.95. current estimate and expected prices were be around 50% premium more or less. mintages 20,000 more or less.

all other spouses. if mintages increases. it will be more or less bullion value or near bullion value.

overall thought - gold is not american collectors choice (platinum is worst). silver is really the one and only. followed by currrent circulated coinage or other metals.
