Can someone please tell me why there are two different colors on this 64 cent. I do know it's not from weathering or exposure because it's been sitting in a jar with about 5000 other cents for the past 50 years. It weighs 3.10
Possibly the one side was facing out, towards sunlight and toned this way. It also might originally have been a coin at the end of the roll that was faced out and stored that way for some time until it was dumped into the jar. Same effect.
