Having our annual garage sale today. A little girl (probably 6) comes in with her piggy bank to buy a item for $2.00. She dumps her piggy bank out on the table and counts out her money. She hands me a 1968D kennedy. I take it from her and walk inside, find an old 2 x 2 holder that I have, staple it shut and hand it back to her. I love coins, but for some reason I just couldn't take this coin from her. If it was an adult I would of taken it in a heart beat, but I not from a little girl.
Yes I did explain to her about the coin itself, I have small kids who are just getting into collecting and would expect someone to do the same. I talked to her mother who is a neighbor about it let her know what I did. She was grateful that I didn't just take it.
