Well I got my results on my first CAC submission since I became a member. I was hoping to do better, but it is what it is. I got 8 out of 14 and did manage to get a gold, though it was a coin that I was expecting to get a gold on. I had another that I thought for sure would go gold but only got the green. I thought for sure the 1943-S Walker would pass with a good shot at gold as well, but somehow it didn't even get the green. I've called and asked to talk to them about a few of the coins. We will see if they call me back. I'd really like to know the reasoning on a few of them.
Rejoice on the gold Merc........ Not at all a bad submission, my friend. Better than some folks expectations.
When did you become a CAC member? I would love to be. You need to start adding CAC submissions to your photography business! I would love to have a few of mine looked at.
I remember some of those coins, i would like to see some of the ones that didnt pass muster like the 04o and 83o morgans. I do remember the standing lib quarter and i fell in love w the obverse but the reverse was obviously what held it down im guessing
Yeah, there were 3 that I was really on the fence on. The '29-D SLQ, '83-O and '04-O I was not surprised didn't pass. The '04-O I'm guessing was because of the toning spots. But I would sure like to know. My biggest surprise was the '82-CC. Everyone that I showed it too, with the grade taped over graded it as a 65 with a shot at a 66. So I was surprised it only got a green and not a gold.
You got a gold. I haaaate you! You suck. Nice job. The ratio is average. You got pretty darn lucky with the order I sent in for you.
Yeah, I wish you lived close by. I'd let you look at the '82-CC that got a green. There is no way it is just a solid 63. It's a 65 in a heart beat, but what can I do, except crack it and get it regraded. I really wanted to see the OGH 2.1 slab with a gold bean.
