I'm having trouble deciding whether or not this cent is ex fine (which I payed for) or just fine grade , which is worth a bit less . I tried scanning and editing the brightness to bring out the detail. all opinions are welcome. thanks!

I would say VF-20. The reverse looks EF but the obverse isn't.

I would go with vf-30 because of the detail in the hair and the strong reverse detail.

    That reverse is very strong.
    Averaged to a VF-30.

i have to agree with the vf people. if it's not too upsetting, where did you buy it? and do they have a return policy?

I'd also have to say VF30.

if you are not sure, next time, then pass on the coin.

also, carry along a grading guide.

My grade is definately Very Fine, so to answer your question, wooden... neither a fine nor an extremely fine! ;)

VF 30 if you need to put a number on it.
