    This piece is a wonderfully toned Morgan with layers of creamy patina covering practically every surface with hardly a hairline to be found. The luster is subdued under the patina but still there in-hand, just not captured properly in photos.

    I would be willing to bet that that coin was completely toned over all surfaces at one time. Something was done to the surface to remove the toning . The nature of the patina on a coin wouldn't look like this unless it was dipped or cleaned in some manner . Send it in to a TPG and see what they say.

    I misspoke above. It's a better Barber Quarter I need. My half and dime look ok.

    This still counts, right? Its not the most dramatically toned coin but for $5.25 I couldnt say no.

    Thanks. I did a triple take when I saw it. The blue color reminded me of the 1970's and the wild felt lined boxed Canadian coins.

    Probably PMD. But if so it was cleverly done.
