Magnus Maximus Dulce et Decorum est....

Always wanted one of these, and thanks to the easter break I was able to get one.
Also picked up a few pennies of Queen Victoria.
Feel free to post your "Byzantines" and Queen Victoria coins. s-l1600.png

    Nice coins, Magnus.

Been building a vicky type set the past few years. Finished her recently & hope to finish Edward Vii soon.

  4. Severus Alexander

Severus Alexander find me at NumisForums

Isn't that a Class D (Constantine IX, 1042-55), like this one?

Would love to see that collection.

    Thanks for the correction, guys.
I'm bought these coins to stop an "itch" for ancient coins. Can't wait to buy a Siliqua this summer!:)

Nice, have always liked Byzantine coins. Never did photograph any of my British coins though.

Cool scores! I just got my first Byzantine coin and it's pretty awesome!

If you want a real challenge, try to collect a set of Anonymous folles with and without coins that show evidence of being overstruck on an earlier coin.

D clipped down to weight but what was the original type?
