Always wanted one of these, and thanks to the easter break I was able to get one. Also picked up a few pennies of Queen Victoria. Feel free to post your "Byzantines" and Queen Victoria coins.
Nice coins, Magnus. Been building a vicky type set the past few years. Finished her recently & hope to finish Edward Vii soon.
@Mat Would love to see that collection. @Severus Alexander and David@PCC Thanks for the correction, guys. I'm bought these coins to stop an "itch" for ancient coins. Can't wait to buy a Siliqua this summer!

Cool scores! I just got my first Byzantine coin and it's pretty awesome! Manuel I, AD 1143-1180 Billon trachy, 30mm, 2.7g, 6h; Constantinople mint, AD 1167-1183. Obv.: Christ, bearded, seated facing on throne without back, wearing nimbus cruciger, pallium, colobium, Gospels in left; no stars; in field / IC – XC Rev.: MANYHΛ ∆ECΠ; the Theotokos (Virgin Mary) standing facing at right, crowning the emperor standing at left, holding labarum and globus cruciger; M above Mary's outstretched hand.
If you want a real challenge, try to collect a set of Anonymous folles with and without coins that show evidence of being overstruck on an earlier coin. C on B D clipped down to weight but what was the original type?
