What is it with all of these spammers lately? Did someone leave a gate open at the zoo or something?

Just saw the report, and when I checked, I noticed that the reported member had already been turned into an ex-member. ;) That spammer spends quite a bit of time and energy on attempts to post here, with many different "identities". Also see here. But Doug catches most of them, and you guys are good at reporting the posts that he cannot catch right away ...

I'm mellowing when it come to coin in palm photos. When people shoot them they tend to wiggle , perhaps subconsciously, and take the photo when the coin looks good rather than just plopping it on a background (even a wonderful black) and shooting without thinking about the light angle. I could suggest cropping a little tighter so we saw more coin and less skin but this photo does what needed to be done better than many some owners of real cameras do.

This sharp photo shows a surface situation where it appears the outer layer of silver pealed away exposing a slightly lesser silver below. This most commonly happens when flans were 'pickled' in acid removing some surface copper and leaving the better silver to be compressed when struck. Were pennies of this period struck on 'pickled' flans?

Yeah I know. This one was already deleted by the time I opened the thread for the first time today.
I'm sure I've seen them before, but I was thinking if I cropped it, the rectangular skin background would look strange. I guess it doesn't as much as I thought:

I do plan on reshooting it on a black background eventually, but these will do for now. Or I'll simply photoshop a black background.

I know this hasn't crossed peoples' minds here but just for the record I am not farming likes by triple posting my coin. Just simply trying to show everyone how it looks up-close.
