Yah, sometimes get free resistors when I order LEDs. The few coins I've ordered on eBay came with no extra friends. Cal
I have good working relationships with several ebay sellers and they often slip me freebies. I enjoy sending them some numismatic oddity for a surprise now and then as well. As I often say, its only money...
Not often, but sometimes I get a random world coin thrown in. I have many woody nickels that were throw ins.
Twice I received these 1 Million Dollar Bills I can't remember the seller. I am saving them to buy myself some nice expensive coins!
I got a freebee today actually. Won an eBay auction for .75 cents US on a 1985 PL Canada dollar. Seller was new to eBay with no seller feedback. I decided to give them a chance so I put a bid in. When package arrived today The Dollar Looked great! There was also a very nice note in package from seller "Thank you very much! You are the first person I sold a coin to. As such I have enclosed another coin as a gift." This is the gift coin. And in case you are wondering here is the coin I put the bid on
I hope that seller charged enough shipping fee so as to not lose too much on that deal. I recall losing money on some of my first ebay sales, and resenting the fact that buyers possibly shied away from me for having low feedback number. To supposedly quote old N. Kelly's last words, "Such is life".
I recently started selling on ebay and include a freebie with most orders. Not sure if it helps. But what the heck, why not?
I've only received a freebie once. It was a 1943 steel cent that I'd rate at an easy ms65 or 66. I thought it was a nice bonus and I added the seller to my favorites list.
Every heard the prase: "Never look a gift horse in the mouth"....That is sad. I would have been happy if sellers did things like that.
Oh many many many times...It is usually an inexpensive coin but it is FREE and like they say, anything FREE is GGGRRRREEEEAAATTTT!!!!! =)
