I may be totally wrong about you bman33 but it seems like you have a very addictive personality, like myself. When you get in to something it's full force, all or nothing. I hunted cents like a nut and couldn't keep up with what I wanted to do. I had to tell myself it was ok to slow down and work my hobby in to my regular life instead of the other way around. Good luck with whatever direction you choose.
I know the feeling. I was going crazy on how many dime boxes I wanted to do a week and ideally it was just a crazy goal. I wanted to do 12 boxes a week with only having 750 dollars to work with a week. That's a lot of rerapping of rolls and a lot of bank hopping.
I don't know how you guys find the time to do all that roll searching. I have a couple of bags of pennies, 5000 coins each, which have been sitting there for a couple of years waiting for me to have time to feed them through the sorter.
If you are not having fun it's not worth it. If you are having fun it is worth it. I'm not getting rich metal detecting, I am making about $2 an hour. But the fun is priceless.
I have no interest in US coins except for their metal value. I do have a few silver dollars, but not much else except for junk silver.
Keeps my hopes alive! Lol. People always say that everything is already been searched. It may have been however what you are searching for may not necessarily be what I am searching for. Case in point with you and copper and myself in errors.
4 maybe 5 boxes of halves I will go through today. I have a half day at work due to Good Friday then I will start my Journey of dumping 2 boxes then picking up 5 boxes. KInd of a lot of work. This could determine my future. I don't think I will stop but probably shave it down quite a bit, like one box a week.
Man, if it is starting to feel like work, and not fun, you might want to take a break from it. Don't have fun if you are burned out on it. IMHO.
About 6.9 ounces in one night's work. I guess I was just whining and complaining, forgot about the roller coaster ride of CRH. With This Haul I got enough steam to keep fighting the good fight for quite some time.
If you're not having fun, then you probably need to take a little break... you'll never get rich doing this, but it can be very addicting... and when you hit the big boxes, you get inspired...
