The reason I went 6, the date is quite legible, which is very often worn down on G-4 coins. The wear seems uneven.
I believe that is a counterfeit because if you look at the shoulder line it has the VDB on that coin. VDB's were taken off the coins and put back on around 1918, So it is a 1944-D with the first 4 cut away to look like a Number 1.
Attached are more pics. From what I can see it looks more like a G-6 with scratches that might affect the grade. In looking at it the portrait is all worn with some slight details seen at the tip of the head and the bottom of the coat. LIBERTY is quite good. The rim does not touch the top of the letters of IGWT. The date and mint mark are very clear. On the reverse the rim is not worn down so the wheat sticks are still separated from it. Letters is strong except for the TES of STATES. The color is glossy brown with hints of red.
