Lustrous colorful coins seem to be out of my photography skills. This 79D is amazing in hand. I even overlooked the spot on the reverse, but the camera doesn't lie.. IMG_3330.JPG IMG_3331.JPG IMG_3326.JPG

When I was a kid I loved watching the odometer roll over from 999.9 to 000.0. I guess I still like it when that happens. So this is the only year that doesn't have any digits in common with the previous year.

@dwhiz, here's a small trick. When I straighten my photos I use the top edge of a window as a level. This is a screen capture from software I wrote, so it's not necessarily going to apply to all photo editing software. I can rotate the image by 1/2 degree increments until the lines are exactly even.

Rotated by 1.0 degrees, the line of the step matches the top edge of this tool window. So if your editor can show grid lines, you may want to turn them on and align to them. Or you can even use a window from another application. This is how I straightened the bottom right image of this 2001-S, shown below.

That is pretty cool. Photoshop and maybe Photoshop Elements has a grid you can toggle on and off in order to adjust the photo to the best orientation.

Gentlemen, What is so intriguing to collectors about the 2010 Shield cent? I seen ms + grades going for a farely high price on ebay and also in price guides. Thanks

There are still many shield cents out there that haven't been graded yet, I for one wouldn't pay those prices.

It really pays to comparison shop. These Shield cents really should be cheap. Of course, if the prices are too high in one place, you can look in another.
This is a screen capture from an online dealer where I bought these 1990-2010 proofs. At these prices you are barely paying for someone to order, sort, and store the coin until you need it.
