How much are common silver certificates like this 1935 D worth? And how much do you think the average coin dealer would pay for them? http://s186.photobucket.com/albums/x31/zadacat/?action=view¤t=silvcert.jpg
Howdy AdamL... TO me that note looks to be between VG and Fine...I would venture to say not much, but it is still a nice note! Hold on to it!! Good luck RickieB
I paid $4.75 for a series 1935 E one that is in better shape and had a pretty cool serial number. Probably wouldn't get half of that back but I didn't have any $1 Silver certificates from 1935 and I really liked the serial number(B00559922I). Nothing special but there wasn't anything else that caught my eye in the shop that day.
It has a retail value around $2.50. I can`t see a dealer paying $1.10 each, even if you had 100 of the same in the same condition...
i bought a CU 1935 silver certificate from my coin dealer for $4. put it on a auction site, and sold it for $10. i also have a 1957 silver certificate that has a huge rip on the left for $1.50.
