I'm sick of the US Mint.

For me the last set was the Lincoln C&C set in 2009. I had a bad experience with an APE proof in 2008, and would have given up then but wanted the Lincoln cents in bronze.

They should have made 600,000 of the 2017-S ASE. That way we could all have a $60 ASE that's worth $18.

 

To be honest, I have been giving up a little at a time for the last few years. I needed the yearly sets to keep my Dansco albums complete. I quit these sets because I was starting to see the damage the albums were doing to the proof coins. I quit Comms. because of the cost to keep the collection up to date. It's a giant set.
I'm starting to understand that I can't collect everything any longer.

I see the reasons to to bail, especially lately. This will be the first year of many, that I am buying NOTHING FROM THE MINT. I'm a little bummed out. But I will have alot of extra money this year,, and most likely the next.

But come on,,, there is always a few that you have to have.
Like the, Lincoln sets, 08 uhr, reverse buffalo, gotta get a few silver eagles every year. and some others
