    Terrific posts!!!

Great OP and historical account and really interesting follow-ups/comments by all...

I have a few Ptolemies, but still missing the 'Main Man' ...and most of mine are the Zeus/Eagle types---but I LOVE those big bronzes just the same.

Two examples of mine---Ptolemy IV and VI:

I absolutely love the ancient silver...kinda my thing. But, I keep seeing such great bronzes from everyone in this and other threads that are REALLY getting me interested looking harder into bronze...

I think this silver Tet of Ptolemy I was struck under Ptolemy III, possibly in Sidon - Phoenicia. Ptolemy1sotr Sidon.jpg Ptolemy 1 R under Ptol3.jpg

Congrats Alegandron with your new Ptolemy tet !

As far as I know , Perdiccas in pursuit of the hijacked coffin with Alexanders body , which was originally on his way to Macedonia, was killed by his own soldiers when Perdiccas insisted to cross the crocodile infested Nile river.

ahaha ... he must have been booted

Yah, lazare must have been that the same ol' guy that keeps posting fakes and keeps getting booted out of here (and "no, he's not my brother")

... oh, and I've had just the right amount of Sunday grog (laying on the couch and watching The Masters has been my Sunday so far)

LOL.... I think I know the one you're referring to Noob, but I'm reasonably sure I didn't purchase it when that post was made (I.E. Aug 5, 2015):D
