Are there any notable Lincoln cent errors from 2010 to date? If so, what are they and what years ? Is this a 2012 double die penny?
The correct terminology is Doubled Die not Double.. big difference I want to share this webpage with you - http://www.error-ref.com/double-die/ and Quote - "Note that the proper terminology for this occurrence includes the letter 'd' at the end of the first word, hence "doubled die". The term "double die" without the first word ending in 'd' is not proper numismatic terminology." closed quote I want to share another webpage with you - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doubled_die
Not really.. Just a bunch of Die Chips, Die Cracks, Off Centers, Broadstrucks, strikethroughs and Misaligned Die Strikes. all minor Mint errors.
I see what you mean about the DDD but if you look at at the LIBRARY in LIBERTY it appears to be doubled to me
Here's a list of doubled dies for the shield cents . http://www.doubleddie.com/845597.html Here's one I own and don't mind the peanut gallery on that thread either . Lol .................. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/2011-shield-cent-ddo-007-wexler.266054/
Take a look at the link Rick posted at www.doubleddie.com On the left side of the landing page click on "Doubled Die Listings". Then click on "Shield Cents" and then click on the appropriate year for a complete list of all reported doubled die coins from that year. The current doubled die Shield cents look nothing like what we have all been accustomed to looking for. It's a good way for you to get your feet wet.
Please start your own separate thread. Pictures are really necessary. Since it's 2010 it could be a simple gas bubble. It's a Copper Plated Zinc Cents. Welcome to Cointalk.
