I guess these are pretty common and don't have much value. Anyhow I'm sorry it is so dirty. I found it with my metal detector a couple of years ago and it has been languishing and forgotten until now. I also hope my scans aren't horrible. My camera is worse lol.
I might dab some Virgin olive oil with a tooth pic on that corrosion. dab it with something porous to remove the excess.

I don't want to disrupt this thread. It is one of my favorites, but I would love to learn more about the clad quarters someone posted. You can start a new thread to answer if you want. i will look for it. I have never seen a clad coin with toning (beyond battleship gray). Any background you could provide on how such a group of coins came into existence would be appreciated.
