I bought these earlier this year but haven't been able to post due to being busy, busy, busy. I have the attributes but can't locate the file. Sorry. If I remember correctly, the 2nd coin is some god of the sea with an anchor reverse. Hope you like them as much as I do. Ancients-so much to choose from, so little time and money. Who knew?

Neat coins. I like the Isis head dress. The obv. of the 2nd is of a gorgon.

Nice coins. I love the variety of the Gorgon's. Some are cute and some are scary with pointed teeth.

The top one is of Antiochus VII Euergetes (Sidetes) minted in Antioch and is dated year 176 (L ΘΟΡ). Similar to SNG Spaer 1932 and Sear Greek 7098.

Ah, so that's an epsilon in the year and not a theta. Never mind!

Collecting Nut ... I'm a bit curious why you didn't merely ask JA for the attributions? (is he too busy nowadays to return your calls?)

You know, speaking of Apollonia Pontica drachms, I came across this eBay auction tonight. Who are the misinformed collectors willing to pay so much money for these common coins? And that one isn't nearly as nice as the ones I sold. Is it the slab? Sigh.

Ouch, almost $170 for a $40 coin at best in that condition. Talk about buying the slab and not the coin. I also feel the VF grade from NGC is a little generous. More like gF.

Seems like I've seen a few mixed posts on the U.S coins forum, been quite a few months ago.
Ugh, it's gotta be the frickin slab, :banghead:

Be quiet! How can you dare question an eBay seller with over 600000 feedback? We would not want that JAZ guy discovering the secret of success and slabbing everything so he can cater to the misinformed. Oh! You are that guy.... nevermind....:shifty:
