I bought these earlier this year but haven't been able to post due to being busy, busy, busy. I have the attributes but can't locate the file. Sorry. If I remember correctly, the 2nd coin is some god of the sea with an anchor reverse. Hope you like them as much as I do. Ancients-so much to choose from, so little time and money. Who knew?
The top one is of Antiochus VII Euergetes (Sidetes) minted in Antioch and is dated year 176 (L ΘΟΡ). Similar to SNG Spaer 1932 and Sear Greek 7098.
Your coins' attributions are in JA's auction PM from January 18th. Thrace, Apollonia Pontica AR Drachm, 18x13mm, 2.5g, 7h; 4th Century BC. Obv.: Gorgoneion. Rev.: Anchor, A to l., crayfish to r. Reference: SNG BM Black Sea 157; SNG Copenhagen 452 Antiochos VII Euergetes, 138-129 BC Æ19, 6.4g, 12h; Antioch mint, 138-137 BC. Obv.: Winged bust of Eros right. Rev.: BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIOXOY EYEPΓETOY; Headdress of Isis; EOP below, monogram to right. Reference: SNG Spaer 1941
Collecting Nut ... I'm a bit curious why you didn't merely ask JA for the attributions? (is he too busy nowadays to return your calls?) ... yup, the dude has had a good year or two (I hope he doesn't forget where he came from!)
Well played, JA ... well played I hope that Collecting Nuts' name is Bob => regardless, keep-up the satisfactory-work ... nobody likes a show-off, my dear coin-friend You Rock
What the hay! Since we're showing ex-JA coins. Still haven't had the opportunity for my own pics, so yeah you guessed it, JA's pic.
You know, speaking of Apollonia Pontica drachms, I came across this eBay auction tonight. Who are the misinformed collectors willing to pay so much money for these common coins? And that one isn't nearly as nice as the ones I sold. Is it the slab? Sigh.
Hey, I have one of those too... JUST becuz... And mine was in a fight, nose and mouth got mashed a bit, poked in the side of the eye... but he won! Apollonia Pontika, Thrace. AR diobol(1.3g) 410/404-341/323 BCE Obv: Full-face laureate Apollo with short hair. Rev: Magistrate's initals around the images. Upright anchor with thick flukes and a rectangular stock. The letter A on one side and the additional symbol of a crab viewed from above on the other side between flukes and the stock. Topalov 56 Ex: @red_spork (Yeah, that Sporky Guy that keeps finding GEMS in my RR collection... )
Ouch, almost $170 for a $40 coin at best in that condition. Talk about buying the slab and not the coin. I also feel the VF grade from NGC is a little generous. More like gF.
Seems like I've seen a few mixed posts on the U.S coins forum, been quite a few months ago. Ugh, it's gotta be the frickin slab,
Be quiet! How can you dare question an eBay seller with over 600000 feedback? We would not want that JAZ guy discovering the secret of success and slabbing everything so he can cater to the misinformed. Oh! You are that guy.... nevermind....

Sorry Sallent but yours in not "exactly" like mine, I can use mine for a guitar pick, if I played the guitar.
