1997 s proof 5-cent

i just got this from the register where i work.....replaced it of course....but i cant post pics cause i dont have a camera...it looks like it had a short ride and it has a few scratches any ideas?

The 1997 S Proof 5 cent, is valued at about $3 in Proof-65.
As slightly circulated, scratched?
Perhaps 25 cents?

 

very light wear but there is some thanks for looking!!!

 

probaly worth around $2. nice find! proofs are hard to find in circulation. i guess someone broke open a proof set.

Funny, but, I got the same coin, a 1997 S proof in change this weekend, at the $1 store.

Possibly stolen from a collection.

I collectected for many years, only to have everything stolen by one of my wife's relatives.
He used most of it to play pinball.
The rest, he unloaded to a flea market dealer.

 

My worthless brother in law took a strap of $5 red seals I had from my grandfather and spent them on a weekend out on the town. He had 3 left when I got a hold of him.
