Claw had the Iowa. I didn't have anything. Someone did get some 2017 Halves in a box this year already though. I thought it was pretty cool. I got some 2016's at the end of last year.
Hi, Stanley! Welcome to the neighborhood. Umm...the State Quarters program ended in 2008. 2009 marked the release of quarters for the District of Columbia and US Territories. The current quarters program is called "America the Beautiful" (ATB). Each issue is identified by a specific locale of national or historic significance. For example, in the case of your "Iowa" quarter, it is correctly called "Effigy Mounds". Chris Chris
I started getting Effigy quarters a few weeks ago. I'm in a fairly populous area, so I usually don't have to wait more than a month or two for new ones to show up. The Douglass ones were released earlier this week, but I haven't seen any yet. Maybe later in the month, more likely in May or early June. Here's a list of subjects and release dates for the series: http://www.coinnews.net/america-the-beautiful-quarters-release-dates/ I really wonder what will happen once they finish with Tuskegee in 2021...
4 Effigy Mounds D's here in Texas last week. I got them as change from Lowe's Home Improvement. Also a couple of Lincoln D's.
North of Atlanta, GA - Gotten 1 Effigy mounds, half a box of philly pennies, 2-3 Denver pennies, and a few P&D dimes - basically no nickels yet, a bit of everything else though.
Saw my first 2017 coin today - a cent from Philly. I haven't seen a thing in any other denomination so far.
Got several of the Effigy mounds plus a few nickels and dimes. Plenty of 2017D pennies but alas no Ps. Central Texas.
I received an Effigy Mounds quarter after returning my shopping basket at my local Aldi's supermarket.
I recieved my Effigy Mounds quarters by finding them in a vending machine. I did not even have to pay for them! Thank you people who leave your change!
