    Looks NT all the way to me. I'd grade it a 65fbl too

    I think it looks like coins I've seen in that have spent most of their lives in those Black Whitman albums.

    ...and since I'm doing things in pairs, both of those coins' images turned out alright... at least until I see them next to robec's images. ;) First 54-d was picked up on ebay; second from an estate auction.

    Another thing I had that my Dad took and sold was a VF and better Franklin half collection.[IMG]

    @Skyman

    Your 1953 looks like made from a very late die state, comes little washed out, and shows signs of an ddo.
    Very interesting piece.
    Is it already third party graded?

    Thank you for your kind comments. The piece is not slabbed, but is in my B toner Dansco.

    Picked it up a few weeks ago for a very good price. I haven't taken a picture of the plastic yet, but here are the seller's photos (I think it may have been a wee bit undergraded):

    It doesn't matter, the fingerprint is a big no-no for any serious collector. Sorry if this sounds harsh.

    The finger prints look to be on the plastic/covering and not on the coin itself.

    Nice coins @mynamespat and all :)
