Connecticut, no doubt. However, I loved the new Idaho design, (head of a falcon) until they mucked it up by adding a silhouette of their state.
I'm with you xeno - How many other countries have put sculls on their coins - Where is clinker??? It just amazes me every time I see one. I think all of the 2006 are sharp and Maine is also nice. I'll give you another plug Mr. Carr - Love the Statue of Liberty on NY :smile
I like Nevada's the most, so far. The symetry is great. A lot of the other state quarters seem to be too sparse...a problem I notice a lot of other modern coinage has these days. Guy~
I like the one that caused my collection to go up in value. I hate the one that caused prices to go crazy so that I can't find anything good anymore!
I think the Idaho is pretty nice as well TCBBK, I also think you are right in fact that if they had left the state outline off and leave the falcon alone the coin would be a real winner..........so far.
My Favorites Since I am a native Kansan, I like the Kansas quarter already, but the simplicity of the design is what makes it so representative of Kansas. A Bison grazing says it all. Although, there are no wild Bison in Kansas. They are all on ranches and wildlife preserves. Kansas is peaceful, nonetheless, unless of course you are in Kansas City, Topeka, or Wichita (My Hometown). Delaware is nice because, again, the design is simple and beautiful. Horses are an underrated animal that haven't had much attention on coins or paper money. Texas has a real pride-driven design for theirs. It speaks for the state well. Indiana kind of sucks. VVVrroooooooom.
I like the Nevada quarter as the horses are really nice. BUT....I really like the New York quarters for several reasons.... 1) Because its my home state 2) Because Mr. Carr was so generous to sign a US MINT Rolled Set of the P and D quarters for me AND....I really like the Rhode Island quarters because 1) Mr. Carr also signed a set of US MINT rolled P and D quarters I am proud to own them both. Thanks again Mr. Carr Kiss
