Your first one looks like it could be one of my discovery VAMs. Check the 82s against vam 35. And can you post a pic of the mint mark area through a loupe please.
I'm not seeing the tiny die chip to the right of the S but there's been thought that its not a chip but a small lamination. Does your coin match other die markers on the v35 page. Like the die scratch at the hair curl into the neck or die scratches coming from the bottom of the laurel leaf on second cluster right of the bow etc
I see die scratches by the leaf just like what Vam35 said it would be and there is this short line below the face by the upper neck. Also there is is angle line by the top of the "R" in America, but I am not sure if that is a line or scratch from circulation.
I do have the common's "cc" dates. But they are all in slab's . These are just few examples I have in the safety deposit box
Yup. VAM 35. The heavily polished out obverse denticles with the S tilted way left told me you most likely had a v35. Nice! That's the first one I've seen aside mine
I go by Mark. Thanks everyone. Most of these Morgan's were picked up more 10 years ago when they were pretty reasonable price, but now they are just too pricey.
