$50 star note sequential bills

someone in area has for sale $50 star notes in number order.
8 bills $400 face value. He wants 430 for all is that good? Will they go up in value?

Gee that sure seems a bit much.. Have you checked the serials to see if they're a low run?
If they're a common run then they're really not worth much more than FV.

With those serial numbers, you are half way through the entire run.

 

As they're the most common run size, I wouldn't spend more than FV on them

I think a $30 premium for 8 consecutive notes is reasonable, considering they are star notes and $50 dollar bills. They also look AU or UNC.

 

Yeah, if you've always wanted to have some consecutive $50 stars in your collection, you probably won't find them at a much cheaper price than this unless you luck into getting some straight from a bank. But on the other hand, if you buy these notes and then you want to sell them sometime in the future, you're going to have a hard time getting even that $30 premium back...there's just not a whole lot of demand for such things.
