Andy Warhol's Buffalo Nickel "Art" I was searching the web for Buffalo Nickel Art and I found some of his work for sale. I figured, if I am to decorate my office, I would keep it coin related because you never know when a fellow collector may walk in. After all, I would rather talk coins than business anyday. Actually, it sure is a conversation starter for many people who say, "So...you collect coins?" After looking around my office , I smile and think to myself, "How did you come up with that?" Anyways, I found Andy's paintings of Buffalo Nickels (his are all in a row) and I was not impressed. I figured with a little air brushing and photo-shoping on my own, I could do my own "Warhol Buffalo Nickel" painting...from scratch. My design is similar to the Olympic rings situated as a triangle. I am not ready to give up my day job, but I knocked this out in less than 45 minutes. Some people doodle, I mess around with coin art and believe me, I have little interest in art, except for coins. Comments?
Seriously anyone could do better art then Warhol. He just did new stuff at the time, if you go to the Warhol museum in Pittsburgh it's like what the........... made this guy so great. Anyway defently better than Warhol lol but I'm not much of a Warhol fan, if u can tell.
Wow.... those are cool! I like the gold and navy, the red and blues, and the green and indigo ones. I kind of wish I knew how to use photo editing programs - I'd make all kinds of art to display in my dorm room.... Sure would brighten it up more than it is now. ~AJ
