Does anybody know why a wheat cent would literally look redish brown with black stripes going through it? Not the grade color either like literally redish with black random streaks going everywhere. And the lettering looks more goldish. It appearsto be in decent shape to as i can see the lines in the wheat clearly. Just curious if its from circulation or what?

Need photos. But it could be a "woodie". Wood grain looking, from improper alloy mix. Some can be very desirable.

I didn't want to clean anything and i know the mintmark is bad and the scratch on the right wheat .but i was just curious what it was. i found it coin roll hunting. Wondered if it added value to it being like that?

The obverse appears to be a woodie. I don't think that the value is very high for this coin, but it is still a keeper.
