Wow, the detail is amazing. I can even see the tiny arthroscopy scar on her knee after she had been to the Roma Mayo Clinic...

Thanks everyone, I am looking at her right now:happy: Best thing is to come, on our next trade, hopefully Sunday, he has an exquisite Carus aureus with chariot reverse to offer, for that one I have to give 50K in butterflies.

    Great OP-Goldie, panzerdawg! (congrats)

    Faustina-I, eh?

Ummm, it's merely a humble silver baby, but it's still kinda sweet ...

I'm no pro, but I think that might be rat-tailed swallowfly underneath the chair?

Sweet coin Steve:happy: I have a feeling Sallent is disgusted with this tread....I still have over 10,000 of them sitting in my basement, ready for a ride to Montreal, in next 5 years.
PS: I like her hairdo/ more style then some of the othere empresses.

Awesome coin, don't think I've seen a Faustina gold before.

Not sure about others, but I don't mind seeing the butterflies included in the trade. They must be pretty spectacular to be worth that much.

What is the life expectancy of a dead butterfly? Dust to dust; gold to gold.

If properly stored/ no sunlight/ exact humidity...these specimens will remain fresh looking for thousands of years. Coins would be the same idea. And both keep going up in value, with time. In my former insectnet forum, most collectors friends thought I had a "screw loose" for selling my collection. But, I have to admit, coins were my first hobby:happy: and could not afford both, still a hard decision.

The coin at the beginning of this thread is awesome. I have looked and looked at vcoins. But I'm not sure for the money I might be able to spend that I will find a coin that suits me.

So close to me, yuck. Yesterday as I was exiting my home a butterfly passed within 2 inches of my face. Threw my phone up in the air in the panic and ended up cracking my rear camera when it landed on the sidewalk. :(

Anyway @panzerman , congrats on another amazing golden beauty.
