    Hey guys or gals i need your help on this one is it a m/d or d/d and it appears that the 8 is really close to edge as i'am always saying new and learning thanks

    The Master hub had been in use formany years and through its continued use it was "spreading". So by 1968 when they would cut the hubbed dies down on the lathe tot he 19 mm diameter, the lettering and date were VERY close to the rim. In 1969 they corrected that problem by creating a brand new master hub with a smaller bust and all the lettering moved in closer to the center.
