Hi. I received the following coin from a family member. I'd like to ask some of you pros to comment on the coin's authenticity, peculiarities, and possible value. This coin has no mint mark. The edge photo at the bottom contains highlights of a tiny groove. In person, this coin is kind of yellowish. I used photoshop to modestly increase the brightness and contrast of its features. Any feedback welcome. Thank you. IMG_20170403_181743114.jpg IMG_20170403_181808721.jpg IMG_20170403_184822589.jpg

Looks like an Ali Baba special.

And a real one for comparison.

A fake, then? Can you describe what gives it away?

Everything lol!? Take a few minutes and just compare your pictured coin with the photo of an actual 1800 I inserted above.

Shame. I was gonna retire. Shouldn't have bought that condo in Tuscany.

Everything about the first picture says not right.

Before looking at pictures, I noticed its weight was well below spec. I just wanted to have someone qualified scream fake.

The fact that US coins were not reeded on the edge until nearly four decades after this one was purportedly produced.
