1802 Heraldic Eagle dime -- funky "2"?

    This just came across as a new BIN listing on eBay:

    1802 10C Draped Bust Heraldic Eagle Dime. EXTREMELY RARE. LOW MINTAGE -10975!!!

    That 2 in the date looked just a bit too funky -- it's half the size of the 0!

    GIS indicates that the 2 is a bit smaller on this issue, but this one looks completely wrong. Anybody looked at enough of them to say otherwise? Variety, contemporary counterfeit, or modern dreck where someone went above and beyond to make it look old?
