For what it's worth, here's some recent sell prices from my notes on the '85CC...

If not noted are those in regular non-GSA holders?

Pretty big price difference between regular TPG slabs and GSA holders for a lot of the years.

Also agree with poster above who said the GSA holders seem to get overgraded. Having spent a lot of time tracking these sales the past few months there are just a lot of ugly coins for the grade out there. If you want a CC morgan and not concerned about the GSA holder then by far your best bet is a regular slab or raw if you're capable. Get a better coin at a better price that way IMO

Just some brief notations, the point being @Bman33 could get a better coin at a better price, at least below $1,100.00 for a 65.

Good move on passing. I've never bought a graded GSA. I've hoaned my eye on the GSA's and love to hunt for them ungraded. I've picked a few gems, one was a 66 that I paid 63 money for.

The trick is to find them local when someone who had been holding them since the original sales finally brings them in to sell. It can take some time for the right one to turn up, but when it does, it's so worthwhile.
