    Yes it's possible. I would try an acetone bath first.

    Can't really see what you're looking to fix. The two white spots on the obverse, the stuff thru STATES and the blotch under the eagle? Beyond acetone, I'd be thinking about professional conservation with an AH Proof that looks this nice.

    Yes, all of the above, good eyes Dave. I didn't think that acetone would remove any milky spots from the mint?

    the accented hairs seem to have the worst milk spots that are unaffected by even dipping. Just makes it worse.

    Did the coin look any better out of the holder? Do you think it will cam?

    The reverse I think would qualify but, the obverse would hold it back.

    I've also noticed this to be the case. Even with conservation that spot where the FG is on the reverse won't disappear at best it will simply lighten a bit.
