Just back from PCGS. It straight graded and is going up for auction. What auction service would be best?
I think you should crack it out and buff it up with the ol' dremel before you even think of selling it!
Since you had such good luck with PCGS's April 1 grading tier, I'd recommend an auction ending on the same date next year.
I was gonna say, if PCGS graded that to be a real 1943 copper, you could hang it on a wall next to Larry's 1909 VDB matte proof lol
I knew this was a joke.... it would have long since been ballyhooed in the press and all coin forums.... Good one though.....
I would not say anything at first but are my eyes seeing a small bump where the 3 was a 8 and polished off? and is the 4 Right?
It's a real 43 with a copper plate. I will say that whoever did it, did a nice job. It's still a pretty coin. Cost me 60 cents.
In case anyone wonders why there are so many copper 1943 cents, at one time they were openly advertised. From a 1962 "Numismatic Scrapbook Magazine".
